Some fantastic news in the College Fall camp!! We are excited to announce that we are heading to London to perform three shows at London's leading industry festival, City Showcase between the 2nd and the 6th of June.

------------------------------------------------------------

College Fall were granted the opportunity via a Sonic Bids competition as the only act from Australia or New Zealand selected by the City Showcase A & R team. City Showcase is London's leading festival for new music and fashion attracting international audiences, working with musicians, performers and artists by providing networking opportunities, workshops, information sessions and showcase gigs.

Last year City Showcase featured more than 500 performers and was enjoyed by more than 2 million people. The event has helped discover a diverse range of acts since 2003, including Amy Winehouse, Razorlight, Keane, Seth Lakeman, Hot Chip, Sway and Newton Faulkner.

Make sure you check out the Performance page for our dates in London! We will be playing a few extra dates while we are in the UK - make sure you head down to a show. We would love the support!

Wednesday 8 August

Unfortunately, due to unforseen circumstances, our planned scheduling of shows in Denmark has been cancelled. So, we are looking for gigs in any Danish town between now and the end of August. So what's a band to do if they have no shows to play for a few weeks... Ask for help! So If you can help us out in anyway, please get in touch!

Thank you all very much.

Saturday 21 July

Hello everyone!

Just a quick note, unfortunately we have a few date changes with the tour. Our Danish performance at Byfest has been moved from 10 August to 4 August, meaning that we have had to cancel our show at the Glass Onion in Peterborough on the 5th.

Our Midlands friends need not worry too much, we will be touring the area at length on our album launch tour in late September including the Glass Onion. Apologies though for any inconvenience.

This week we have some great dates in the south west, rounded out by an awesome show at the Social in London, with Helen Renaut, John Bartholomew and Candythief. We are on stage at about 10pm and it is $5 entry.

Ciao for now.
Glenn and College Fall

Hey everybody,

Exciting things are happening! We have 2 more weeks of this west coast winter before we jump onto the plane for London…
This is also my first time updating the news! It’s Simon here… The three of us are in high spirits and it has been creeping into our shows.

Thanks to the 3 high schools we played at in the Bun Vegas area. We had an awesome time and it was great to meet everyone! Hopefully we’ll be back in December.

We have just updated the Performance page with some European dates and will keep adding them in the coming weeks….stay tuned.

Farewell Australia!
Winter's coming and it's time for us to escape again to Europe. This time we are touring to celebrate the release of our new album 'Eleven Letters' in England, Denmark and Finland... very exciting!

More on that later... because before we fly away, we will be playing a couple of farewell parties. One in our surrogate home town, Bunbury, on 16 June and our final show at the Paddington Ale House on Sunday 24 June. Both shows are free entry and will be your last chance to come and have one last drink with the three of us before we go.

Thursday 24 May 2007

We are very proud and excited to announce the release of our new EP Gravity. We plan to celebrate with a huge opening show at the Hyde Park Hotel on 23 March followed by a fourteen date tour of this great state of ours.

Soon we will tell you all the story of the eleven letters we penned. But for the moment, Gravity is your initiation to those letters. A song that asks the question “when I said I love you, I meant do you love me?” and leaves the answer sitting on the lips of all those that choose to listen.

The EP will feature 5 tracks:

1 – Gravity
2 – Heart Strings
3 – Lake Norman
4 – Like It Or Not
5 – That’s The Way Love Is

It will be officially released via Varsity Records on Monday 19 March 2007. It will be available for just $5 for those who purchase tickets to our opening night (email info@collegefall.com) and for $10 at all live shows thereafter. It will soon be available for $13AuD from the College Fall website. College Fall will perform in full band mode at all our tour shows.

We can’t wait to get out on the road again and to see you all soon!

Hello friends and fans

A big thank you to everyone who came down to our Velvet Lounge show last Sunday! It was such a memorable night for all of us, particularly Simon, after officially announcing his citizenship to College Fall country! Keep your ears peeled because we will be announcing another band show in Perth very soon..
.
Now, we head back into duo mode with a series of Thursday shows at the Windsor Hotel in South Perth, coupled alongside some fantastic soloists - A great way to make an early start to your summer weekend.

We have prematurely ended our stay at the Leftbank and will be on tour down in WA's south-west over the December 14-16 weekend (check the gig list for details). Don't fret Freo kids - we do plan to head back to the 'Lefty' some time in the new year.

And city folk - not only do you have the Windsor to worry about, you can catch us in duo mode next Wednesday at the Paddo in Mount Hawthorn opening up for good friends Russian Winters.

To our east coast and overseas comrades; I'm sorry - this mail would be kind of boring for you. But we promise to entertain you with our gigging plans soon!
Take care everyone and let the festive season begin!

Tuesday 18 July 2006

We have finally arrived in Denmark – after a mission drive through France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. We recently played to a fabulous packed room at a pub called ‘Underhuset’ which literally translates to ‘under the house’ (or basement – which it is!) The sales of our tour EP have been very strong so far, however there are still a few left for Danish fans, which can only be purchased at our upcoming shows. Check out our Performance page for upcoming gig details. Stay tuned to the site next week when we update full details of our shows in Finland, Sweden, France and Spain.

Hello everyone!!
Well we are two weeks into our first ever European tour and we are having a complete blast of a time so far... We had a few logistical problems at the start (buying a car is so time consuming over here and there are so many additional costs!!!) but ever since we started gigging it has been fantastic. We are just on the end of 10 days straight gigging, all of which have been in the south - Devon, Cornwall and Sussex. Glenn promises to put up a new tour diary excerpt as soon as he's had a good nights sleep! Take care everyone and shoot us an email any time at info@collegefall.com

Sunday 28 May 2006

Well the time has finally come… As I type we are both franticly packing our suitcases getting ready to embark on our European Tour. How exciting! Please check our Performance page for all the dates so far.
Goodbye Perth – we will miss you!

Salutations to all of our great friends and fans that came down to the website launch show on Friday night. It truly was an event and a night that we will never forget… especially the double encore!! Thanks guys! College Fall will be down a member for a little while, as Jodie travels over east, but that won’t stop Glenn and the new band hitting their straps and supporting US soloist Lou Barlow next Sunday night! It promises to be a different show with Glenn mixing some of his solo songs with College Fall tracks and songs from his previous band The Nordeens. At the end of the month, Glenn will be catching up with Jodie to play some duo shows in Melbourne and Adelaide. For all gig details check the performance page!

Friday, February 24, 2006

The Hydey
Last night we played at the Hyde Park Hotel along side Benedict Moleta, Claire Clarke and The Ghost Hotel. We played a set of mainly new songs including a new rendition of Jodies piano opus Closer, completed with some pretty glockenspiel and triangle percussion. It was great to play at the Hydey again too - it was our first gig their as College Fall, although we have trampled our equipment through the sticky Hydey carpet many times in the past with previous bands. In other news, we have been busy organising tours and arts grant applications, setting up a new website and developing our first attempt at merchandise pens!
